mizzard – the mouth

nantee narking – great fun

nutmegs – the human testicles

Palmer’s twister – a strychnine pill

kiss my parliament! – a rude phrase

to give a taste of plum – shoot someone with a bullet

pocket-thunder  – a breaking of wind

punchable nun – a harlot

get six quarter – to be sacked

translate the truth – to lie evasively
